New to mime ~ what do we need to know to get started?

Content copyrighted by His Hem Ministry ©
We have an opportunity to work with a young man who is interested in miming and have little idea where to start!  This young man survived some serious health issues recently and feels compelled to minister to the song "Better" by Jessica Reedy.
     We've seen it done and know what presentations look like, but want to know your top three to five pieces of advice for starting in gospel mime and perfecting it:  What do you advise?
     We want to hear everything from Biblical foundations to the best mime makeup to use to the best approaches and techniques to presenting mime!  PLEASE HELP!!
     Post comments here or email them to: HisHemPraise@gmail.com.

         1).  A teacher;
         2).  A few books on miming;
         3).  The baptism (of the) Holy Spirit;
         4).  Determination;
         5).  Much prayer!

          "One thing I have always been told is to let the song minister to you before you minister it to someone else (By letting the song minister to you I mean to let it take you to a place where you think of how God has made changes in your life or brought you out of some things and use that as your testimony or drive when doing the song; if the song doesn't speak to you how can you expect it to speak to others if you don't really understand the meaning behind the song).  Secondly when you get up to minister you are doing this for an audience of one. It's not about how the people in the crowd see you it's about giving God all the glory."
~ Min. Angela Wilson, director of her church's prophetic arts ministry, Kingdom Life Christian Ministries
            "I choreograph praise dances and help with mime on occasion.  The best advise I could give, is to have a relationship with the one who is compelling you to mime. When I was asked to praise dance I knew nothing about it and really couldn't dance.  But little did I know, when I said yes, the Holy Spirit was doing something in me. I am now over the prophetic arts ministry at my church and I've never had a dance or choreography lesson in my life.  I give all credit alone to God! It was He who purposed me from the foundation of the word (Jer 29:11-14)..All of the hurt, pain, disappointment and rejection; God has turned it in to a ministry beyond anything I could've imagine. I said all of that to say, if you can understand and embrace the heart of the Father, you will become as 2 Cor 2:3 "Letter that ALL men will be able to read" and receive...be it HEALING, DELIVERANCE or BREAKTHROUGH.  Be encouraged young man... BLESSINGS."

          1. Put self aside to let God use you
          2. Facial expressions are critical
          3. Good makeup, learn how to apply it yourself
          4. Pray to God for songs that minister to his people
          5. Pray over your garments

      "For Someone desiring to Dance Just Do that Dance Use Your Own God Given Gift Given You by Him To Express Your Gift,Too many Have Followed the script of Mime becuse of its popularity the Hype in it! but in Truth It is an old Slave manipulation used by the slave masters for entertainment which we now use to Glorify God,See the enenmy dont care where he use his devises!Yes Your For Fathers were made to paint their faces white to entertain their slave masters because they did not want too see their black faces.so i say to anyone who desires to start a ministry in dance is to Just Dance and allow The Holyspirit to Guide you In All Things!!!And Show Your Face!!!When God Created It He said It was Good!!!
